A next‑generation evolution of the H1 humanoid robot, engineered for higher articulation and stronger actuation.

The H1‑2 retains the full-size 180 cm form factor of the original H1 but introduces notable mechanical upgrades. Its arm system expands from 4‑DOF to 7‑DOF per arm, enabling improved reach, dexterity, and precise manipulation. The leg configuration is upgraded from a 5‑DOF to a 6‑DOF structure per leg, including dual‑actuated ankles for improved balance, torque output, and foot placement accuracy. Industrial crossed‑roller bearings ensure high stiffness and load capacity across all joints, while Unitree’s internal‑rotor PMSM actuators deliver powerful performance, reaching up to 360 N·m knee torque and 220 N·m hip torque. These improvements allow more stable high‑speed locomotion, rapid gait transitions, and resilient posture recovery even under disturbance.

The H1‑2 integrates 3D LiDAR (MID‑360) and Intel RealSense depth vision, enabling panoramic spatial sensing, obstacle detection, and detailed mapping for autonomous navigation. Its dual‑computer architecture supports both low‑level motion control and high‑level development: PC1 provides dedicated gait and motor control, while optional PC2/PC3 modules (Intel i7) enable secondary development for AI models, perception pipelines, and ROS2‑based applications. Its interface layout supports Ethernet connectivity, sensor expansion, and direct access for debugging, reinforcing its suitability for academic and industrial research.
